EDGE Pricing
Baymarkets uses Agile development methods. Agile is a modern technique to produce the best possible code which has the happy by-product of making code generation more efficient. This makes our unit cost of producing software lower than industry norms, and we are able to reflect this in our competitive pricing.
Our proposition is to be more than a systems vendor; we aim to create long term partnerships with our clients and ideally we want to benefit financially as their businesses scale up. Typically our product licence fee depends upon numbers of users or transaction volumes, meaning that our entry-level pricing tends to be attractive to both large and small clients.
We understand that a variable license fee doesn’t suit all clients, and we will offer fixed license fees if necessary.
Baymarkets charges will usually be made up of one or more of the following:
- Product license fees
- Gap Analysis fee
- Customization fees
Product License Fees
EDGE is chargeable according to which of the EDGE products you license.
License fees are usually made up of a fixed license fee plus a variable monthly fee determined by:
- number of users
- number and type of asset classes
- number and type of connections to clearing houses, exchanges or trading venues.
- access to our Partners’ value-added services.
Gap Analysis Fee
It is important to us that our clients have no unpleasant surprises. If Baymarkets considers that a customer is likely to require customization we will usually undertake an analysis of the client’s needs, and the ‘gap’ between the desired EDGE products and those needs. The Gap Analysis enables us to assess necessary customization.
Customization Fees
Necessary customization of EDGE in accordance with the results of the Gap Analysis will be charged at an agreed hourly rate plus materials.
Any hosting services or necessary hardware will be charged separately.
